Jenny Fromherz
Jenny Fromherz

Jenny is originally a native of Portland, Oregon, moved to WV to play volleyball and attend University of Charleston. She graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training and sports medicine. Jenny joined our Greenbrier Vision team in July 2008, and with her positive attitude and compassionate nature, does a great job in patient pre-testing, patient check out, billing, contact lens training and ordering. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting family in Oregon, cross stitching, sewing, working out and watching movies.

Denise Hanshaw

Denise started her career as an optician in 1988 and joined the Greenbrier Vision team in August 2008. She graduated from Dunbar High School and now enjoys helping patients select stylish frames, sun wear, and appropriate lens options for the lifestyle of the patient. She is also extremely efficient in eyeglass repairs, eyeglass adjustments, dispensing eyewear and edging lenses.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, grandchildren and three dogs.

Christine Davis
Christina Davis

Born and raised in West Virginia, Chris graduated from Calvary Baptist Academy and WV Junior College. She has been an optician since 1992 and ABO (American Board of Opticianry) Certified since 2002. Christina’s attention to detail has led her to excel as lab manager as well as performing tasks such as detailed ordering and edging lenses. Additionally, Chris has a great “eye” for helping patients choose stylish eyewear. In her spare time, Chris enjoys sewing and spending time with her husband and three children.

Carrie Beasley

Carrie has been a wonderful addition to the GVC staff for the past two years, with her easy going personality and caring nature. Carrie was a 1996 Capital High School graduate and continued her education at WV Junior College, receiving her Associates Degree in Medical Assisting. Before she joined the staff of Greenbrier Vision, she had over 17 years of experience in family medicine/practice. She currently enjoys her position as an ophthalmic technician in patient pre-testing and medical assisting, and is always friendly and helpful to both patients and co-workers. In her free time she enjoys camping, boating and spending time with family and friends.

Hannah Leonard

Hannah is our bright and cheery front desk gal. A WV native, she joined the GVC team in December 2018 and is a medical coding graduate from Garnet Career Center. Hannah is in charge of patient check in and check out, prior authorizations, billing, remittances and insurance inquiries. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, yoga, hiking, reading, sketching and journaling. We are really excited to have her as part of our Greenbrier Vision family! Welcome Hannah!

Melinda Simmons

Mindy is the newest addition to the GVC team, joining our staff in February 2019 as an Ophthalmic Technician. She has had an energetic willingness to jump right in and learn as quickly as she is able and patients and staff appreciate her friendly and eager demeanor. Native to northwestern Pennsylvania, she graduated from Penn State in 1991, and soon after was transplanted in Charleston. Mindy enjoys her WV life with her husband and two daughters, a few close friends, and her church family. Outside of work, some of her favorite activities are DIY projects, music and an occasional Netflix binge. Her bucket list includes a trip to Iceland, blacksmithing, and bungee jumping.
