Dr. Lynn Engle-Laneve
Dr. Engle is a native of Charleston, WV and a graduate of Herbert Hoover High School. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY and her Doctorate degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN in May of 2000.

She graduated with honors and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society, the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, and the Indiana Optometric Association. She is a member of the WV Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. As of April 1, 2016, Greenbrier Vision Center is now owned by Dr. Lynn Engle-LaNeve, who has been an established optometrist at Greenbrier Vision Center since October of 2000.

In her free time, she enjoys singing and playing the piano at church, playing golf, running, biking, Zumba, working out, gardening, and spending time with family and her two parrots.

Dr. Dennis Hedrick
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia State College, Dr. Dennis Hedrick was accepted to the Illinois College of Optometry where he graduated Cum Laude in 1990.

Dr. Hedrick practiced in South Charleston for seven years before opening Greenbrier Vision Center, Inc. in October 1997.

Jenny F.
Jenny is originally a native of Portland, Oregon, moved to WV to play volleyball and attend University of Charleston. She graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training and sports medicine. Jenny joined our Greenbrier Vision team in July 2008, and with her positive attitude and compassionate nature, does a great job in patient pre-testing, patient check out, billing, contact lens training and ordering.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting family in Oregon, cross stitching, sewing, working out and watching movies.

Denise H.
Denise started her career as an optician in 1988 and joined the Greenbrier Vision team in August 2008. She graduated from Dunbar High School and now enjoys helping patients select stylish frames, sun wear, and appropriate lens options for the lifestyle of the patient.

She is also extremely efficient in eyeglass repairs, eyeglass adjustments, dispensing eyewear and edging lenses.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, grandchildren and three dogs.

Christina D.
Born and raised in West Virginia, Chris graduated from Calvary Baptist Academy and WV Junior College. She has been an optician since 1992 and ABO (American Board of Opticianry) Certified since 2002.

Christina’s attention to detail has led her to excel as lab manager as well as performing tasks such as detailed ordering and edging lenses.

Additionally, Chris has a great “eye” for helping patients choose stylish eyewear. In her spare time, Chris enjoys sewing and spending time with her husband and three children

Cindy N.
Cindy is a native of Charleston, WV and has been working in optical field since 2007. She began her journey with Greenbrier Vision Center in 2018, where her bubbly and outgoing personality is always welcomed by patients. Cindy loves to laugh and have a good time with both co-workers and patients and never knows a stranger!

In her spare time, Cindy enjoys fishing, boating and spending time with her three daughters. Her other hobbies include cooking, baking and playing in her flower garden at home.

Jill H.
Jill entered the health care field in 1993 when she graduated from nursing school and became a registered nurse. She has worked in a wide variety of medical specialties such as NICU/Nursery, Cardiac CATH Lab, Urology, Labor and Delivery and Dialysis.

In February 2023, Jill joined the Greenbrier Vision Center team as a part time employee working in patient check-out and billing. This career change has been a totally different aspect to health care than nursing and has been challenging, demanding and rewarding for her to try something new.

Jill has three children, 28, 25 and 21, who are the light of her life and completes her world. Jill loves sports, especially playing tennis, visiting the beach and listening to music.

Jamie S.
Jamie entered the health care field in January of 2023 when she joined the front desk GVC team part time, and has become an inspiring asset to our office staff! After studying education at WVSU and raising five children (two still at home), she was excited at the opportunity to become part of an organization that would challenge her to learn new facets of a career that is both exciting and rewarding.

She has been married to her husband, Adam, for 25 years and resides in Charleston with two of their children. She enjoys walking, boating, attending church and spending time at the beach.

Sabrina E.
Sabrina is a North Carolina native who moved to West Virginia in 2015. She has been an Optometric Technician since 2019 and is a wonderful new addition to the Greenbrier Vision Center team as of June of 2023 .

She works in patient pre-testing, performs extensive testing such as Optical Coherence Tomography Imaging , Visual Field testing, Optomap retinal imaging and assists the doctors by scribing in the exam rooms . Additionally, she trains patients with insertion and removal of contacts, teaches contact lens care and assists with contact lens ordering.

In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her husband and kids and travel back to her hometown to visit her family as much as possible.

Kristy S.
Kristy was born in Wichita, Kansas and raised in Poca, West Virginia. She graduated from Cross Lanes Christian School in 1996 and studied Social Work at WV State University. Working in the optical field for 14 years, she brings a bubbly personality and friendly smile to our practice.

She loves meeting new people and interacting with patients.

In her spare time Kristy enjoys cooking, decorating, gardening, biking with her husband and anything involving God, kids and family.

Lexi D.
Lexi was born and raised in Roane County, West Virginia and has been working in the clerical side of healthcare for several years. She was recently introduced to the world of Eyecare when she joined the Greenbrier Vision Center team in July 2023 as the Front Desk Receptionist. Lexi will always greet you with a friendly welcome and a smile!

Outside of work, she loves reading and spending time at home with her husband and two dogs. She also enjoys concerts, musical theater, cooking, playing board games and going to escape rooms with friends and family.

Although she is new to the optical field, she looks forward to growing and learning and is happy to have found a home with the GVC family!
